Puppies make great Christmas gifts, and every year, Youtube has thousands of Christmas surprise videos being uploaded with people receiving a new puppy, making them cry as well as many of the people who are watching the video. What we do not see is the after effect and many of those sweet and adorable puppies who are given to young children or inexperienced pet owners having to relinquish their pets or find new owners because they had no clue of the effort and hard work it took into training a puppy or the time it could take to bond with a dog that you may not have the time to spend with and you thought you wanted a dog until you actually had one.
In an effort to help those with small children and those with less experience in owning a dog, we thought we could help if you are bound and determined to get someone a puppy or dog as a gift for Christmas this year, with hopes that this will indeed, be a forever home for your new found family member.
Three One Month Old Beagle Puppies Volodymyr Melnyk
If you want a dog that will watch and protect your child and help them get into trouble, the energetic and curious beagle is an ideal pet. Watch your slippers and socks if you get a puppy, however, these guys are fairly easy to train even for the pet novice. They are eager to please and will stay relatively small at 20-30 pounds, and these guys will be around for a long time with good care, living between 10-15 years.
